Weelp is NOT an emergency service and does NOT dispatch emergency responders.
Weelp is an INFORMATIONAL and EDUCATIONAL application that:
Displays publicly available emergency phone numbers (like a directory)
Shows nearby medical facilities on a map
Provides educational first aid guides and safety tips
Weelp does NOT:
Contact emergency services on your behalf
Transmit your location to emergency responders
Dispatch ambulances, police, or fire services
Guarantee the accuracy or availability of emergency numbers displayed
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: You must contact official emergency services directly by dialing the local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US, etc.) or by going to the nearest emergency room.
By using this App, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, improve, and secure our services. This includes:
1.1 Account Information
Email address (for account creation and authentication)
User ID (automatically generated)
Profile information you voluntarily provide (name, date of birth, blood type, medical information)
1.2 Health and Medical Information (Optional)
Medical profile data (allergies, medications, medical conditions, blood type)
Emergency contacts and their contact information
Medical documents and records you choose to upload
This information is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to secure cloud storage (Supabase) with end-to-end encryption
1.3 Location Data
Precise Location: We request permission to access your precise location (GPS coordinates) to:
Provide emergency services information for your current location
Display nearby medical facilities, hospitals, pharmacies, and AEDs (defibrillators)
Show country-specific emergency numbers
Approximate Location: We may use approximate location (city-level) for analytics and service improvement
Location data is used only when the App is actively in use and is NOT transmitted to emergency services or third parties
Location data is not stored unless you explicitly save a location
1.4 Device Information
Device type, operating system version, and device identifiers
App version and usage statistics
Crash reports and performance data (anonymized)
1.5 Contacts (Optional)
IMPORTANT: Your contacts are NEVER uploaded to our servers.
We request permission to access your contacts ONLY if you choose to import emergency contacts from your device's contact list
This permission is optional and used solely for the purpose of selecting emergency contacts
Selected contacts are stored ONLY on your device locally
We do not access, store, transmit, or upload your contact list to any server
You can deny this permission and manually enter contact information instead
1.6 Camera and Photo Library (Optional)
We request permission to access your camera and photo library only if you choose to add a profile photo or pet photos
Photos are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to secure cloud storage
1.7 Audio Recording (Optional)
We request permission to access your microphone only if you enable the "Panic Button" feature with discreet audio recording
Audio recordings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly share them
This feature is designed for personal safety documentation
1.8 Payment and Subscription Information
When you purchase a subscription through the App:
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat
We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information
We receive only transaction confirmations and subscription status from RevenueCat
Subscription data (plan type, expiration date) is stored securely in our database
1.9 Usage Data
Basic analytics such as feature usage, screen views, and app interactions (anonymized)
Error logs and crash reports to improve app stability
This data is collected through privacy-compliant analytics services

Your information is used exclusively to deliver and enhance Weelp's services:
Providing Core Services: Operating the App, managing your account, and delivering emergency information
Location-Based Services: Providing relevant emergency numbers and medical facilities based on your location

3. Permissions Requested by the App
The Weelp App requests the following permissions on iOS:
3.1 Location Services
When In Use: To provide location-based emergency services information
Purpose: Display country-specific emergency numbers and locate nearby hospitals, pharmacies, and AEDs
Your location is NOT transmitted to emergency services
You can revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings
3.2 Contacts
Optional: Only if you choose to import emergency contacts
Purpose: To help you quickly select emergency contacts from your existing contacts
Your contacts are stored ONLY on your device and are NEVER uploaded to our servers
You can deny this permission and manually enter contact information instead
3.3 Camera
Optional: Only if you choose to take a profile photo
Purpose: To capture a photo for your medical profile or pet profiles
You can deny this permission and skip adding a photo
3.4 Photo Library
Optional: Only if you choose to select an existing photo
Purpose: To select an existing photo for your profile
You can deny this permission and skip adding a photo
3.5 Microphone
Optional: Only if you enable the Panic Button with audio recording
Purpose: To record audio during emergency situations for personal documentation
You can deny this permission and use the Panic Button without audio recording
3.6 Notifications
Optional: To receive important safety alerts and app updates
You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings

All data transmitted to and stored in the cloud is encrypted using industry-standard encryption

6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary:
Account Data: Retained while your account is active
Subscription Data: Retained as required by accounting regulations (typically 7 years)
Medical Profile: Retained until you delete your account or request deletion
Location Data: Not stored unless you explicitly save a location
Contacts: Stored ONLY on your device, never on our servers
After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
