At Weelp, your privacy and trust are fundamental to our mission. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Weelp mobile application ("App"). We operate in full compliance with the GDPR, CCPA, Apple's App Store guidelines, and international data protection standards.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER - EMERGENCY SERVICES

Weelp is NOT an emergency service and does NOT dispatch emergency responders. Weelp is an INFORMATIONAL and EDUCATIONAL application that displays publicly available emergency phone numbers, shows nearby medical facilities on a map, and provides educational first aid guides. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: contact official emergency services directly (112 in Europe, 911 in the US, etc.).

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: email address, user ID, profile information
  • Health and Medical Information (Optional): medical profile data, emergency contacts, medical documents. Stored locally with optional encrypted cloud sync.
  • Location Data: precise location for emergency numbers and nearby hospitals. NOT transmitted to emergency services.
  • Device Information: device type, OS version, crash reports (anonymized)
  • Contacts (Optional): NEVER uploaded to our servers. Used only to select emergency contacts locally.
  • Camera and Photo Library (Optional): for profile photos, stored locally
  • Audio Recording (Optional): for Panic Button feature, stored locally
  • Payment Information: processed by Apple App Store and RevenueCat. We never access your credit card data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Exclusively to deliver Weelp services: providing core safety features, location-based services, health profile management, subscription management, service improvement (anonymized), customer support, and legal compliance. We do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.

3. Permissions Requested

  • Location (When In Use): for emergency numbers and nearby hospitals
  • Contacts (Optional): for selecting emergency contacts locally
  • Camera (Optional): for profile photos
  • Photo Library (Optional): for selecting existing photos
  • Microphone (Optional): for Panic Button audio recording
  • Notifications (Optional): for safety alerts

4. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat (subscription management), Apple App Store (purchases), Supabase (secure database, GDPR compliant), Mapbox (maps).

5. Data Storage and Security

Local storage for sensitive data. Optional encrypted cloud sync via Supabase. SSL/TLS encryption for all transmission.

6. Data Retention

Account data retained while active. Subscription data per accounting regulations. Medical profile until account deletion. Location data not stored. Contacts stored only on device.

7. Your Rights

Access, correction, deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent, objection, complaint to data protection authority. Contact: support@weelp.app (30-day response).

8. Children's Privacy

Not directed to children under 16.

9. International Data Transfers

All partners follow GDPR and Standard Contractual Clauses.
